YOUR STOPS ALONG THE ROW

tHREE OF lOUISVILLE’S moST iCONIC dISTILLERIES

The afternoon tour rotates among four celebrated distilleries along Whiskey Row, visiting three per tour to give you the richest possible experience of Louisville's bourbon scene. Drew tailors each stop to the group, ensuring a memorable and personal experience at every door. The current rotation includes:

  • Nestled at 500 E. Main Street, Angel's Envy is one of Louisville's most acclaimed craft distilleries — and one of the most visually striking stops on Whiskey Row. Founded by master distiller Lincoln Henderson and his son Wes, the operation built its reputation on finishing bourbon in repurposed port wine barrels, a technique that lends it a distinctive sweetness you won't find anywhere else on the Row. The name itself tells the story: according to distilling lore, the small amount of whiskey lost to evaporation during aging is what the angels take — their envy, presumably, is reserved for what's left in the barrel.

  • At 528 W. Main Street sits a tribute to the man many consider the father of Kentucky bourbon. Evan Williams established Louisville's first commercial distillery along the Ohio River in 1783, and this immersive experience honors that legacy with guided tastings and a walk through the craft distilling process from grain to glass. It's part museum, part working distillery — and one of the more educational stops on the tour. By the time you leave, you'll have a much richer understanding of why Louisville became the bourbon capital of the world.

  • Old Forester occupies a special place in bourbon history: when George Garvin Brown bottled and sealed his whiskey in 1870 to guarantee its quality and authenticity, he created America's first bottled bourbon. His home base was Louisville, and the brand never left. The distillery at 119 W. Main Street sits in a pair of beautifully restored 1882 buildings right in the heart of Whiskey Row — the same block where much of this city's bourbon legacy was built. A stop here connects the dots between Louisville's industrial past and the thriving spirits culture you're walking through today.
